Music and musicality are prominent themes throughout this book. Hip hop, Rock, Soca calypso movie soundtracks, and comedy albums – songs of all genres. In some chapters, the song selections speak to the differences between what predominantly black folks or predominantly white folks might have been listening to at those times and in specific spaces. These were songs of the times or songs that capture the spirit of the stories.
